Problem / Question

Hello All,

Under workspace calibration there is an option for Align single axis with calibration plate.

If I understood correctly we can use this to account for any movement of calibration plate without redoing the whole calibration?
Can we do this in a single step by directly making changes in the Local offset pose, or a two step approach where first we have to define the reference location of calibration plate and later move the plate and use this feature to adjust for the moved plate ?
Finally, I don’t seem to find a detailed manual on how to use these options in workspace calibration in NxView, is there any resource available?

Best,
Tehreem

Hi Tehreem,

the information you are looking for is documented in the workspace calibration Type parameter. The axis calibration is designed for linear robots with one moving axis.

What exactly do you want to achieve in your workspace calibration step?

We have a workspace calibration guide on how to perform the workspace calibration programmatically and the above mentioned CalibrateWorkspace documentation for details on the command itself.

Kind Regards
Benny
