I am using a GV-5990SE-C camera, and when viewed through NxLib there is a warning that NxLib doesn’t provide a firmware version for this camera. I tried downloading & manually updating the firmware to the version found here but the error persists. I was able to calibrate the cameras still although the relative positions of the two cameras (this + the N36) presented in NxView don’t quite align with reality. If I can safely ignore the warning that’s ok, but I want to make sure I’m not missing something critical. Thanks in advance.
this is expected as you observed it. For IDS camera models which we use in our stereo cameras and test regularly we ship a firmware file with the installer of the SDK. The presence of this firmware is used to decide whether it is a regularly supported model.
Other models from IDS usually also work with our implementation, but we cannot test them all regularly, since there are so many.
If the sensor works for you you can simply ignore the warning.
There is also a trick to remove the warning permanently: You can copy the firmware file you downloaded to the $ENSENSO_INSTALL/firmware directory. The NxLib will use it as the reference version and also offer to update any sensor of this model to this firmware.
