We just released Ensenso SDK 4.3.880 and B/C/CR-series firmware 2.0.130. They are available from the download page.
Changelog
Color Correction
Improved color correction and new tone mapping options for color sensors on B, C and CR series cameras.
Improved Stereo Matching Accuracy
An improved interpolation method in PatchMatch2 reduces systematic errors in subpixel interpolation and boosts Z-accuracy and geometric trueness.
CR-Series
This release officially supports the new CR-series devices with on-board processing and 8MP color resolution.
GenTL Producer
EnsensoSDK now ships with a GenTL producer to simplify the integration of Ensenso cameras in various machine vision software.
Synchronization of Multiple Cameras
- B- and C-series cameras support the PTP protocol to synchronize their internal clocks.
With PTP you can now trigger cameras synchronously or interleaved without an additional trigger cable, with microsecond accuracy! - The Trigger command can now wait for the end of the exposure of B- and C-series cameras using the new WaitFor parameter.
This saves you valuable time. You can start moving your robot or camera already, while images are still being transferred!
Other New Features
- Parameters can now be saved to and loaded from device memory using the SaveParameters and LoadParameters commands. See the guide on saving and loading parameters for more information.
- The new LiveMode for PatchMatch2 reuses information from a previously computed disparity map to initialize the computation for the next frame. This provides up to 30% faster stereo matching times without sacrificing quality.
- The new AutoBrightness/AreaOfInterest parameter allows to limit the automatic adjustment of exposure and gain to a specific region.
See the changelog for a complete list of changes.
