Hello all,
I am trying to connect to a C57 camera in Ubuntu using NxView, but have so far not been successful. I assume the hardware setup works fine since I was able to find the camera when booting my PC in Windows. From Ubuntu I can ping the IP of the camera, but it doesn’t show in either NXView or the Network Wizard.
Does anyone have any clue maybe of what else to check?
Hi Benny,
Thanks for your fast response. I disabled the firewall just in case (ufw disable) but still the issue remains. I am reading more about multicast DNS in case the issue is that way.
You can also have a look at the Network wizard section of our manual where we list the privileged changes made to your system by the Network Wizard. Especially the Reverse Path Filtering subsection might be helpful here in case your camera is not properly configured.
If that doesn’t solve the problem, it would be helpful for us if you could provide us with a description of your network setup and a log of your running NxView with the empty camera list. For creating the log file, please refer to our Export Debug Information guide. A couple of seconds should be sufficient to log the discoveries.
